Family friendly wineries often provide spaces as well as activities to keep your kids entertained while their parents enjoy wine tasting. Sonoma Wineries

- Taft Street Winery is located in Sebastopol and has a great space for families to enjoy their wine experience. They offer wine as flights as well as by the glass or bottle. Taft has a large backyard with plenty of space to allow families to relax. Bocce court adds extra fun and competition and local musicians frequently perform live music during the summer.

- Anaba Winery offers multiple seating areas from the lawn to courtyard, private patio and indoor seating. Anaba Wineries is kid and dog friendly, offers a large food selection such as appetizers, salads, charcuterie boards and delicious pizzas on weekends. Wine club members can even take advantage of their regulation Pickle Ball Court and the winery is on a vineyard so it’s a great location if you want to expose your kid to the beauty of grape growing.

Ledson Winery in Kenwood is a castle located amongst their beautiful vineyard grounds, the perfect setting to allow for good family fun. There are multiple bars located inside the castle, private tasting rooms, and picnic grounds are perfect for a family outing. The castle is stunning both inside and out, making for a stimulating time for the kiddos and their wine shop offer’s warm, easy to eat sandwiches, perfect for pickier eaters.
- Kunde Winery is one of the oldest wine growing/wine making families in Sonoma. They have a large patio area by their pond, as well as a courtyard and more secluded seating to accommodate all visitors. There’s often live music during the summer and even a little dancing. Their tasting experiences include a mountaintop tasting and a wine cave walk, always fun for the kids to experience.
- Francis Ford Coppola Winery is known for its family-friendly atmosphere. They have a large swimming pool with pool-side cabines, a movie gallery featuring memorabilia from Francis Ford Coppola’s films, and bocce ball courts. The winery also offers a kids’ menu at their on-site restaurant. If you’d like to enjoy the pool, make sure to book well in advance as it sells out quickly, but is the perfect way to spend a summer day

Larson Family Winery welcomes families and offers a relaxed and casual environment. The winery has a picnic area with games like cornhole and horseshoes, as well as a petting zoo with friendly animals.
Benziger Family Winery known for its wine tours, Benziger Family Winery in Glen Ellen offers tram tours through the biodynamic vineyards kids as well as their families will love. You’ll learn about the benefits of their sustainable farming practices while enjoying the open-air tram ride. After your tour you can walk through their educational biodynamic garden which teaches the principles of agriculture which is harmonized with the local environment and why this not only produces great wine, but also helps to keep the earth healthy.

- Three Fat Guys winery is located right outside downtown Sonoma Plaza and offers casual backyard vibes while providing great hospitality and family friendly experiences and events. The wine is delicious and they allow outdoor dining, so this is a wonderful place to wind down. It’s also located just a block away from Sonoma Train Town, which your young ones will love.

Gehricke Tasting Room is located in an old Firehouse just off the Sonoma Plaza, and is a great spot for families with kids. The space is large enough to have room for your kids, fun snacks for sale, and unique seasonal tasting options for adults. They kept a lot of the original fire house aesthetics, so if your kid loves that, it’s a perfect spot
Hawkes Wines Sonoma Tasting Room is a great location for our Cabernet lovers. Hawkes has a variety of cold red wines from Alexander Valley. If you need a break from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, Hawkes is a great spot to try something new.
